ALOHA - The Ukulele Sunshine Group at klpac Day 1 (Saturday 17/11/2012) @ 8pm

Our Ukulele Sunshine Group (both the adults and the kids) joining together for our First Public Performance at klpac to belt out 7 songs.  This is our Welcome Song to the crowds entitled ALOHA  (in Hawaii language means Hello).  Do enjoy our maiden performance.我们的四弦琴阳光集团（包括成人和孩子）第一次联合起来在 klpac公开演出并演了7首歌曲。这是我们的欢迎观众的歌“ALOHA（在夏威夷语言“你好“的意义）。请来一起听一听我们的首次表现。

The Ukulele Sunshine Kids made their first STAGE APPEARANCE at the Halloween Concert on 30 & 31 October 2012  at the Halloween Concert organized by the klpac Junior String ensembles. This performances boosted most of the kids' confidence on stage and provide them valuable experience.  Do enjoy their lovely singing and strumming on their cute colourful ukulele.

这几位四弦琴阳光的孩子第一次在万圣节音乐会于30日和2012年10月31日在klpac万圣节举办的音乐会表演。在这个表演舞台上， 孩子们的信心不但提高了 ，并为他们提供了宝贵的经验。来我们一起听一听他们的歌声和五颜六色的夏威夷四弦琴弹奏。

PEARLY SHELL (G MAJOR) with Mr Stanley Chin (October 2012)

Mr Stanley Chin walking us through the clapping of hands on the rhythm of PEARLY SHELLS. He reminded us to keep the tempo steady.
陈老师以拍手的方式来教导我们这首夏威夷名曲 - Pearly Shells. 陈老师要我们牢记节奏的拍子.

Then we strum the ukulele with the same clapping style 1, 2 , 3, 4 ...The First beat on all the four string, followed by strumming the remain four beats/counts on the three strings.(Meaning skpping the G string,  strum only C, E and A string)
用同样的拍子方式在四铉琴上去弹 1， 2 ， 3， 4 。第一拍要拨四条线, 第二,第三和第四拍只需要拨3条线...那就是 C, E  和 A 铉.

 Ukulele Music for Hope and Peace would like to extend our deepest gratitude to guitarist Mr Stanley Chin whom had kindly shared his knowledge with us on strumming the ukulele with the children .

First Lesson is to place your thumb at 45 degree and strummed down in a straight line.

我们四弦琴团员以最深切的感謝吉他高手陈老师與我們分享他的知識。

第一堂课是把你的拇指放在45度，並在一條直線上彈奏。

2nd Lesson -  Mr Stanley Chin guided us that we should strum the ukulele with gently stroke like a harp. 

第2堂课- 陈老师说要輕輕的彈奏像豎琴那样的柔柔。

 

 3rd Lesson - Let's strum together down up down up.  We would like to thank Ms Nicole Yap, an accomplished young Pianist to guide the group on the piano. 


第三堂課 - 大家一起来上下的彈奏 。我們也要感謝一位很有成就的年轻鋼琴家叶秀灵女士为我们伴奏和指導。

 4th Lesson - Strumming Pattern for It's a Small World i.e Down Down Up Down Down Up.

The Ukulele Sunshine Kids were all smile receiving their little pocket money after an outing of their first performance on September 16, 2012 at Jalan Sultan, Petaling Street for the Mooncake Festival. 

A Century Moonlight in Petaling Street

The Ukulele Sunshine Kids were being invited as one of the guest performers for the Petaling Street Community Art Project (CAP) yesterday, 16 September 2012. The group of 8 lovely girls and a small boy were strumming and singing two songs Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and You Are My Sunshine.  The last song the adult ukulele group joined the Children to wrap up their performance with the song entitled "It's A Small World".An unforgettable night indeed. 昨天，2012年9月16日,四弦琴陽光孩子們被邀請作為茨廠街社區藝術項目（CAP)表演嘉賓之一。8位可愛的女孩和一位小男孩又大唱兩首歌曲 ：“一閃一閃小星星“ 和“你是我的陽光“。最後一首歌“ 小小世界“ 是和成人組合一起表演。这是一个值得回忆的表演。

This Petaling Street CAP is to celebrate Mid-Autumm Festival and at the same time to raise awareness of Jalan Sultan and Jalan Petaling's unique heritage and current predicament. The project featured variety of activites for the entire day; Dragon dance, Lion dance, singers and musicians drawing crowd up to hundreds. 

We were delighted and honored to strum for an event like this.

Children Playing - Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Ukulele Music for Hope & Peace especially the Children Group was being formed for the remembrance of once a musician, former drummer with Kapena and a ukulele teacher :- Brandon Tucay, age 24.  Brandon left earth in May 2012 in Kuala Lumpur and now resides with God in Heaven. 

In this video, this group of kids ranging from the age of 4 1/2 to 10 years old were strumming and singing together for the first time after their respective ukulele camp on August 20 - 23, 2012. 

The song Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, sang by the many adorable rising stars, as a dedication and tribute to Brandon Tucay.

Today marks two very important occasion:

Launching of the website for Ukulele Music for Hope & Peace and the dedication of this website as a gift to Kelly Teh who is celebrating her birthday this coming Sunday.

First jamming session

People from all walks of life with regardless to their age, skill, first-timers, muscians or non musicians gathered for the first time at Kelly's place. We consider this as our First 'Jamming' Session. 

Hall was filled with peaceful chords, lovely voices and joyful laughter.
